Summary
Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Deck/Engineer for a 50m+ yacht
This position requires someone with a broad range of skills including deck maintenance, water sports experience, carpentry skills, basic engineering, working aloft/outboard experience, good tool skills and in general be a practically minded and hands on individual.
Any other mechanical/trade background or experience will be a bonus.
The role is primarily a deckhand position however the engineering department will take them on during yard periods (we'll be doing a 30-year survey this winter which includes a 2-month drydock period) and for other planned maintenance periods. (will work in engineering department during yard periods and on deck during the season)
Experience: 1 year + on yachts (any other shore-based engineering background a bonus)
Qualifications: PBL2, PWC, AEC 1 & 2
Start date: ASAP, latest mid December
Location: Europe
Salary: DOE
Leave: 3:1 rotation
