Summary
We are currently seeking a Permanent Chief Officer to join a 50m+ Private/Charter Motor Yacht.
We are seeking a dedicated Chief Officer/1st Mate for a permanent position aboard a 50m Private/Charter motor yacht based in Italy. The ideal candidate will possess strong deck knowledge, demonstrated leadership skills, and a proactive approach to their responsibilities. This role involves overseeing deck operations, managing a small team, maintaining safety equipment, and assisting the Captain with navigational duties. Candidates should have previous experience on similar-sized yachts, be proficient in safety and navigation procedures. Expertise in yacht maintenance and familiarity with jet driving and twin prop systems for larger chase boats is advantageous. The vessel runs with a crew of 11 and a chase boat ( + Chase boat captain)
Candidate requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chief Officer or First Mate on similar-sized yachts
- Proficient with safety and navigation procedures aboard motor yachts
- Valid STCW and ENG1
- OOW 3000GT or higher
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in yacht maintenance and safety equipment management
- Jet driving and twin prop for larger chase boats
- Good eyes for detail
Package:
- Salary: €7,000 pcm
- Leave: 60 days leave per year
