Summary
Seeking a motivated Deckhand with a strong interest in fitness and a commitment to long-term growth within a program to join a 80m M/Y Private. The vessel runs a busy program (standby, frequent weekend trips and other longer trips). The crew have a keen interest in keeping fit which is not only part of their down time but also part of the program with owner and guests. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and longevity working as a deckhand on 65m+, be hardworking, dependable and have strong teamwork skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Must be in tune with operational and safety procedures, have a good understanding of general deck duties and confidence in tender driving.
Itinerary: Winter 2025/26: US / Bahamas / Caribbean / Summer 2026: Mediterranean
Start Date: early December (TBC) in West Palm
Compensation Package: Salary: DOE (EUR) / Leave: 90 days per year (unstructured) / Discretionary 13-month bonus
Skills & Attributes
- Minimum 1 years’ / 2 seasons experience as a Deckhand on 65m+ and longevity with prior program(s) is essential
- Tender driving experience
- Keen interest in fitness, ideally running and/or cycling
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards
- Hardworking, organised, adaptable, and team-oriented
Qualifications Required
- STCW (fully updated) with PDSD
- Yacht Master Offshore (ideally)
- Powerboat L2
- Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate
- Valid B1/B2 Visa (essential) & Schengen/EU Visa (preferred)
