Summary

PROFESSIONAL HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY IN CENTRAL LONDON

Location: Central London

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum

Status: Live-out

An experienced and professional Housekeeper is required to join a fully staffed private household in Central London. Working as part of a close-knit team and reporting to the Head Housekeeper, the successful candidate will have prior experience in high-end residences or on super yachts, with the ability to deliver immaculate housekeeping standards in a fast-paced environment. The property is fully staffed, so the successful candidate must be team-oriented, reliable, and able to adapt to changing priorities.

The role involves all aspects of high-level housekeeping, including daily cleaning, tidying, and presentation of the home, as well as carrying out turndown and morning set-up (turn-up) services. The ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail, take pride in their work, and demonstrate flexibility and professionalism at all times.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the position includes interacting with principals and guests, meeting and greeting visitors, and offering refreshments when required. Confidence in informal table service is advantageous, though not essential. The Housekeeper should also be comfortable around pets and willing to travel internationally up to four times per year for short periods (up to two weeks at a time) as part of the role.

This is a live-out position, working 45 hours per week across five days, with two days off (one weekend day and one weekday). Shift patterns rotate between 8am–5pm, 9am–6pm, and 12pm–9pm, depending on household needs, so flexibility is essential in this role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

·       Cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms etc.

·       Caring for artworks, silver, antiques etc.

·       Turn-ups and turndowns of bedrooms

·       Following instructions from the Head Housekeeper and other senior staff to facilitate the smooth running of the family’s day

·       Offering refreshments to the principals and guests as required

·       Assisting with laying/clearing tables and table service (ideally)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

·       Prior Housekeeper experience in a private household or onboard a super yacht

·       Fluency in English both spoken and written; Italian language skills would be advantageous too, but not required

·       Hardworking and dedicated

·       High attention to detail

·       Flexibility with hours and duties

·       Valid passport and willingness to travel as part of the role

·       Trustworthy and reliable

·       Excellent checkable references
