An UHNW family based in Central London is seeking an experienced and polished Head of Service to join their fully staffed, fast-paced household. The property is run to exceptionally high standards while maintaining a warm and informal atmosphere, requiring a professional who is both personable and adaptable. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in private household or luxury hospitality service, with excellent attention to detail, refined presentation, and the ability to remain calm and confident in a dynamic environment.
Working closely with the House Manager and wider household team, the Head of Service will take responsibility for the smooth delivery of front-of-house operations. This includes liaising with the Chef to coordinate meal service, laying and clearing tables to a high standard, maintaining inventories of food, beverages, and household supplies, and ensuring all service areas are immaculate and well organised. The role also involves receiving deliveries, managing supplier relationships, and supporting communication between the family, staff, and external providers.
As a key member of the household, the Head of Service will work collaboratively with other team members, particularly the Head Housekeeper, to ensure the home operates seamlessly and that family preferences are always met. The ideal candidate will have a discreet, service-oriented mindset and proven experience managing front-of-house duties within UHNW households, private estates or onboard super yachts.
The position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work different shifts, including one weekend day per week, as part of a five-day, 45-hour workweek. The candidate should also be willing to travel for short periods (up to two weeks at a time, several times per year) as part of the role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organisation, and a proactive attitude are essential, along with confidence in interacting with principals, guests, and service providers.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
·       Family-style food & beverage service
·       Table set ups and flower arranging
·       Meeting, greeting and welcoming guests
·       Managing pantry items, ensuring there is sufficient stock at all times, including keep preference lists up to date
·       Coordinating and receiving deliveries
·       Liaising with the Chef, House Manager and principals to ensure the day runs smoothly
·       Assisting the housekeeping team with the upkeep and cleanliness of the family home
·       Travelling internationally with the family when required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
·       Prior service experience within an UHNW household, or service stewardess experience on super yachts
·       Familiarity with various service styles, though the family prefer family-style meals
·       Friendly team player with a can-do attitude
·       Organised and able to manage inventories & preference sheets
·       Fluency in English & right to live and work in the UK
·       Hardworking and dedicated; high attention to detail
·       Well presented with excellent interpersonal skills
·       Flexibility with hours and duties, including some evening and weekend work
·       Willingness to travel internationally as part of the role
