Itinerary: Caribbean, Pacific coast of Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico - Alaska and world cruising itinerary TBC


License Required:  None - previous experience on similar size vessels and strong restaurant background.

 

Requirements:

  • STCW + Refresher
  • ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for min. 6 months) - physically fit
  • Passport (valid min. 1 year)
  • Solid References  

VISA: B1/B2 visa (minimum 1 year) 

 

Background check and drug testing may apply.

 

Responsibilities:  CHEF/GALLEY duties. Cooking meals for the owner and his guests and crew meals. Provisioning, keeping a clean and organized galley. Well organized, great verifiable references, easy going and energetic personality. 

  • Cooking for 12-13 crew and up to 16 guest. 
  • Healthy, high-quality meals for both guests and crew.
  • Create diverse, exciting, and healthy menus tailored to the owner's preferences and dietary needs.
  • Source and utilize fresh, local produce and specialties, especially in remote and international cruising areas.
  • Manage all provisioning, inventory, and budgeting for the galley.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organization in the galley.
  • Work collaboratively with the interior team to ensure seamless service for guests.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing itineraries and guest requirements.
  • The boss has some Keto related dietary restrictions but the rest of the guests are okay.

Job Specifics:

  • Vessel is private only with mix of family trips and friend trips. Family trips are relaxed and focused on water sports and exploring. Friend trips are extremely busy with full boat of guests and crew.
  • Family trips will usually be 8-ish people.
  • Guest trips can be as many as 16 guests

  • * IF there is a busy guest trip, they fully intend to bring in a Sous Chef for duration of trip*
  • Open to male or female candidates.


Salary range: Salary is currently offered on a day rate working 3 months on and 3 months off. Unpaid when off.

 

Package: rotation 3:3 months. Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, to be finalized during interview process.
