We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Deck Engineer / Engineer Assistant to join a private 45 m Motor Yacht operating in the Mediterranean.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong technical background and previous yachting experience who is eager to take responsibility for maintenance, deck support tasks, and assist the Chief Engineer in the day-to-day operations of the engine room and deck systems.

Requirements
• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training and ENG1 Medical and AEC 1 & AEC 2 certificates (Mandatory)
• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems onboard
• Previous experience in a dual role (Deck + Engineering) on similar-size vessels
• Knowledge of planned maintenance systems and inventory control
• Positive attitude, team player, and keen attention to detail
• Fluent English communication skills
• All certificates and travel documents must be valid

Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist Chief Engineer with maintenance of main engines, generators, and auxiliary systems
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Carry out deck duties as required (line handling, wash-downs, tender operations)
• Maintain logs and update the planned maintenance system
• Support safety drills and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Collaborate closely with the deck and interior teams for smooth daily operations
