This 80m MY is currently looking for a strong sports fishing/chase boat captain to take good care of their brand new HCB 56" Suenos GIX chase boat. The vessel will be completing the up and coming Caribbean season, which will be followed by a med season in 2026. So you must be an active candidate, who is experienced in both private and charter circumstances. We are looking for a real team player for this active boat, someone who has no complaints when asked to work and muck in with all departments when really needed. A Serious fishing background is required for this role, along with fantastic experience in large tender driving. The tender will have a huge array of sports fishing gear for heavy game, deep dropping, jigging, spinning, etc. which you will be responsible for maintaining. Spearfishing skills will also be greatly advantageous when being considered. 90 days leave per year are on offer (3 days worked earns 1 day of leave) based on a flexible 4 months on, 5 weeks off rotation. I must emphasise flexible here, as the goal is for the Chase Boat Captain to take their leave once the season finishes, and when the tender’s transport to the next location via Dockwise or towing is organised. You will have your own cabin in the Tender. Meals, laundry, etc will be onboard the Mothership. There is a galley, fridge, and amenities in the tender that you will stock up accordingly. You will be provided meals by the Mothership’s legendary galley for any longer passages. During guest trips there will be one of the Mothership’s crew with you as a deckhand, staying aboard the tender in the second cabin. Other skills such as passage planning, repair skills and experience with outboard engines, generators, sea keeper, basic plumbing and electrical skills will come in very handy. You will be fully responsible for the vessel, she is your baby! The Mothership’s crew are happy to assist however is needed, and we expect you too as well.
