Essential Requirements: Previous 5* deluxe hotel or Private House experience,
An experienced, flexible and talented Sous Chef is required for private Royal household based in Riyadh to provide fresh, nutritious and seasonal food.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare daily plated buffets, finger foods and canapes for the principal ensuring a balance of healthy, light dishes as well as comfort foods.
Follow adapting menus for the principal, especially when entertaining guests.
Provide buffet and canape/finger foods both sweet and savoury. Assist other chefs in meal preparation for the household staff.
Maintain responsibility for your kitchen area hygiene, food safety, and storage.
Manage provisions
Work within a set budget for ingredients.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a 5-star luxury hotel or private household.
Strong knowledge of buffet and finger foods, with a large range of different cuisines incorporated.
Skills in baking cakes and desserts.
Excellent kitchen management and organizational abilities.
Understanding of Middle Eastern traditions and respect for cultural sensitivities.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced household.
Proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and high standards of professionalism.
Food hygiene and safety certification preferred.
Fluent English required.
Ability and experience working within a small brigade of other chefs and kitchen staff who total 22 in number, and you must be able to organise and delegate to junior staff.
Salary will be negotiable depending on experience. Six-day week with one month vacation a year and a return ticket to your home country. Accommodation and meals provided. Candidates must be fluent in English.
