First Officer (OOW/Chief Mate) - 45m Motor Yacht
Are you an experienced and dedicated yachting professional looking for a rewarding role aboard a beautiful 45m motor yacht? We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified First Officer to join our professional and friendly crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Captain with all aspects of yacht operation, navigation, and management.
- Maintaining the vessle's SMS and vessel documentation, conducting drills, safety briefings and familiarization duties
- Overseeing deck operations and maintenance
- Managing and mentoring junior deck crew.
- Ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and guest satisfaction.
- Acting as Officer of the Watch during passages and at anchor.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualification: Valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) or Chief Mate ticket.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience within the superyacht industry.
- Previous experience as a First Officer on vessels 45m+ OR
- Proven experience as a Second Officer or an experienced Bosun on vessels greater than 50m.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated longevity in previous roles, a strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to all tasks.
- References: Excellent written references attesting to previous yachting history and performance will be required.
- Lifestyle: An active and healthy lifestyle is essential.
- Vessel Policy: This is a non-smoking vessel. We also operate a strict dry boat policy when in use.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills, a team player, meticulous attention to detail, and a professional demeanor at all times.
