Summary


HOUSE MANAGER / PA- Private Residence- Gold Coast (Runaway Bay)

Are you a yacht stewardess or house manager interested in going land based on the Gold Coast?

Position Snapshot

·        4 or 5 day / working week (optional)

·        Full time or pro rata (pending 5 or 4 days) based on FT of $100 - $105k per year inclusive of Super

·        Runaway Bay


Goals & objectives

To provide confidential, professional and friendly support to the Principal and the household, primarily focusing on ensuring the Residence procedures are implemented and followed.


To provide efficient and friendly support to the family and guests.


To work with and supervise the team in ensuring the Residence is clean and tidy at all times. All areas are to be well cared for and maintained to ensure a continuous high standard.


To provide all assistance with the privacy of the Principal and family is of the utmost importance.



Reports & responsibility to:

The House Manager / PA reports directly to the Principal.



General Duties & Expectations


1.          Ensure home is:

               

(a)         TIDY     (each time you come)

(b)         CLEAN               (Monday & Friday)


2.          Wash, dry, iron (arrange dry cleaning & mending when necessary) and put away clothes, linen, etc.


3.          Assist with styling of Principals clothing, especially prior to travel, and packing/unpacking.


4.          Ensure food, drinks, toiletries, dog & fish food and cleaning products are available and purchase other items requested from time to time.


5.          Check mail, which is to be left in the Transit Room. Maintain other office equipment & keep stationery supplies up to date.


6.          Travel assistance, assistance with entertainment and guests.


7.          Assistance with the dogs.


8.          Assistance at the office from time to time.


9.          Liaise with Principals office Personal Assistant if mail received in Principal’s absence.


10.       Assistance with business administration.


11.       Assistance with household administration, diaries and maintenance logs, including other residences associated with the Principal


12.       Assistance with table settings, flowers etc.


13.       Assistance with basic and healthy meal preparation.


14.       Assistance to Son and family if needed.


15.       Liaise with:-

•            Pool     Fortnightly maintenance by Active Pool Supplies (paid office).

•            Garden              Monday & Friday by Usher Landscaping (paid office).

•            Fish     Fortnightly maintenance of outside fish (paid office).

•            Cars    Various for service and clean (paid office and home).

•            Providers         Various (paid office and home).

•            Maintenance Various (paid office and home).

•            Couriers        Various (paid office and home)

•            Keg                 paid office.


16.       To handle and manage cash and credit card transactions, including the monthly balancing of accounts.


17.       To report any incidents and/or concerns directly and immediately to the Principal and to ensure workplace health and safety expectations are met. 


18.       To supervise and direct other household staff including chef and maintenance officer. Note maintenance officer’s principal duty is cleaning. 


19.       To provide exceptional service to Principal, family and guests.


20.       To be well presented and appropriately groomed to reflect Principal’s attitude to life and reputation.


21.       To answer and appropriately direct telephone calls and “walk in” enquiries. 


22.       Carry out any other duties that may be required, including assistance for functions.


23.       Understand the businesses and key personnel of Principal’s major companies



Working Days & Hours


The typical roster for the House Manager / PA is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. Public holidays falling on a rostered day are part of the normal working week, except Good Friday, Xmas Day and Boxing Day. This means double time (usually a half day worked with full day pay) or an application for leave is made.  Flexibility with workdays / hours will be required as well as given. Salary takes into account the roster and flexible work arrangements. Leave Entitlements as per the legislation.


Motor Vehicle

A current driver license and own car are essential. A staff car is available for errands during the day, and if unavailable km’s will be reimbursed at the standard tax rate.


Personal Qualities

Self-starter, confidential, honest and flexible.


Previous Experience

Ideally hailing from a superyacht stewardess or house management background

Own accommodation ashore (at own expense is required)


Start: December (flexible) would consider early January 2026


Salary: Full time or pro rata (pending 5 or 4 days) based on FT of $100 - $105k per year inclusive of Super
