About Us:
We are seeking an experienced and professional deckhand to join a luxury vessel. The vessel, which is over 80 meters in length, will begin its journey in Europe and cross to the Caribbean. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about yachting, watersports, and delivering top-tier service on board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general deck operations, including mooring, docking, and line handling
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the vessel is in prime condition
- Assist guests with watersports activities (experience in watersports is essential)
- Actively contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the vessel
- Be involved in deck and guest service operations with an emphasis on delivering a high standard of professionalism
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times, ensuring crew and guests are safe during all activities
- Assist with the preparation of watersports gear, ensuring it is properly maintained and ready for use
- Provide exceptional service to guests, including entertainment during watersports and leisure activities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience as a deckhand on 65m yachts and above
- Strong background in watersports (e.g., wakeboarding, water skiing, diving, etc.) and able to assist guests in a variety of activities
- Proven track record of professionalism and high standards in all aspects of the role
- Ability to interact positively with guests and crew members in a luxury environment
- Valid PB2 (Powerboat Level 2) certificate and all relevant STCW certifications (STCW 2010 Basic Safety Training, ENG1 Medical, etc.), Yacht Rating preferred.
- Experience with yacht tender driving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
