Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sole Engineer for a 41m motor yacht based in the United States. In this permanent role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all engineering systems onboard, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Key responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, managing repairs, and overseeing the engine room and associated machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, relevant certifications such as STCW III/3 or higher, and experience with similar vessels. You must demonstrate the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a crew of nine. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to high standards of maintenance and safety protocols are essential. Candidates should be prepared for a hands-on role that requires engagement with all aspects of marine engineering, and ideally, you should already be located in the U.S. with relevant visas or passports for potential travel to Europe.
