Summary

We are seeking a skilled Third Officer to join our team onboard a 120m+ Private Motor yacht, currently undergoing a refit period in Germany.

As Third Officer, you will assist the Chief, First & Second Officers in navigation, safety management, passage planning, and watchkeeping duties, while also overseeing deck operations and mentoring junior deck crew. The role requires a confident, detail-oriented individual with solid leadership and communication skills.

Start Date: Around 8th November

Leave: 2:1

Licence Required: OOW Unlimited

Responsibilities:

  • Bridge watchkeeping duties while underway and at anchor
  • Environmental / Garbage Management
  • Assisting with safety / GMDSS checks
  • Assisting with deck operations, tank maintenance, and crew supervision
  • Tender operations and general support of guest activities. Twin jet & twin duo prop would be advantageous
  • Assisting with refit period and surveys in line with senior officers
  • Assisting with passage planning and itinerary development

Requirements:

  • OOW unlimited, GOC, STCW Basic Safety Training & ENG1 all in date
  • Crowd & Crisis managment
  • Raytheon Synapsis NX type specific woul dbe advantageous however this can be done once employed
  • At least 1 year experience on yachts
  • Deck experience required
  • Excellant team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail

Strong teamwork & communication skills are essential, as is a commitment to maintaining a positive crew culture

A training allowance will be provided after 6 months of employment. The position offers a generous monthly salary

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)
  • STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
  • ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
  • Reg II/1 CoC Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
STCW Modules (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
  • GMDSS General Operators Certificate (GOC)
