2nd Engineer – 90m Private Sailing Yacht
We are seeking a skilled and motivated 2nd Engineer to join a prestigious 90m private sailing yacht currently undergoing a comprehensive yard period in Germany, scheduled for completion in April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to develop their career on large sailing yacht.
You’ll be joining a professional, forward-thinking engineering team led by an experienced Chief Engineer, offering exposure to advanced systems and a significant refit project. The position is ideal for someone eager to broaden their technical expertise and take on increased responsibility within a world-class yachting operation.
The role will involve supporting the Chief Engineer in all aspects of the vessel’s maintenance, operation, and refit management. This includes close coordination with contractors during the yard period, system upgrades, and transitioning the vessel back into full operation post-refit.

- Start Date: ASAP (but can wait for the right candidate)

Skills & Attributes Required
- Proven experience as 2nd Engineer on large yachts (50m+)
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Confident with AV/IT system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Previous yard or refit experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Proactive, safety-conscious, and well-organised approach
Qualifications Required
- Minimum certification:
- SV Second EOOW <9000Kw <3000gt or
- Y3 2nd Engineer or
- EOOW Unlimited (STCW III/1)
- Valid ENG1 Medical Certificate
- Updated STCW certification
- Additional technical or AV/IT qualifications are advantageous
