Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sole Chef to join a Private 45m Explorer Motor Yacht for an extensive world-cruising itinerary. This role would best suit a skilled and passionate chef looking to combine their culinary career with the adventure of world travel. With a carefully planned two-year itinerary exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations, this opportunity offers a unique and rewarding experience for the right candidate.
Our ideal candidate is culinary trained with a few years of yachting experience. He/she will be responsible for the overall management of the galley department, menu planning, provisioning, and cooking for 7 crew and 10 guests.
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient candidate with strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Our ideal candidate is adaptable and skilled in a variety of cuisines, capable of creating exciting, fresh menus for both guests and crew. Confidence in sourcing local ingredients in remote locations is essential, along with resourcefulness and the ability to efficiently plan for extended periods between provisioning.
Many of the crew onboard have worked for the owner for a long time, so crew retention is HIGH.
The owning family is highly adventurous and enjoys engaging with the crew, making this an exciting role for someone who is sociable and professional. Expect a hands-on, exploration-filled experience that requires enthusiasm, adaptability, and a love for creating great experiences for the guests.

Required Documents/Certificates: STCW, ENG1, PDSD, Ships Cook Certificate, preferably B1B2 visa in hand.
Requirements for application: Min a few years' experience as a Sole Chef on a MY, Culinary training, Comfortable in provisioning in remote locations, Good verifiable references, Non-Smoker.
Salary: DOE Euros
Leave/Rotation: 60 days leave/yr
