A 40m private/charter motor yacht is seeking a First Mate to join their team.
- This is a dual season vessel with a busy program, requiring a candidate who is motivated, hands-on, and experienced in both guest-facing and operational duties.
- Assist the Captain in the safe navigation and operation of the vessel
- Lead and mentor the deck team, ensuring all duties are carried out to the highest standard
- Oversee all deck operations, including mooring, anchoring, tender driving, and water sports activities
- Manage exterior maintenance schedules and ensure safety equipment is maintained in compliance with regulations
- Play an active role in guest operations, ensuring professional, discreet, and safe service at all times

- Previous experience as Mate on vessels of similar size within a private and charter environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Confident tender driver with guest interaction experience
- Excellent knowledge of deck maintenance, safety procedures, and navigational practices
- Positive, professional attitude with a strong focus on safety and teamwork
- A package $7k - $8k DOE with 35 days leave is on offer
- Dual season cruising: Mediterranean and Caribbean
