A highly professional 38m Private / Charter MY is on the search for a deckhand to join their friendly team.
The vessel is currently cruising the Whitsundays with plans to head to Port Douglas for a series of trips involving relaxed cruises / dinners, guest functions and day excursions for fishing / spearing and diving.
The deckhand will work under the guidance of an experienced lead deckhand and captain and will be involved throughout all deck operations, including bridge, docking, watersports, tender driving and maintenance
The vessel operates a 15m chase tender, that is in survey and a terrific way for the Deckhand to gain experience, get trained up and build commercial drive time for larger tickets.
The owner is a keen fisherman and spearo with opportunity for a Deckhand to accompany and buddy up if possessing the necessary experience.
The vessel can take either male or female candidates for cabins and can start the deckhand with some daywork to ensure a fit for both parties
The Ideal Candidate
1 seasons yacht experience
Looking to learn to drive tenders
Fishing Skills (Not essential)
STCW, recreational boat licence
Understanding of yacht detailing / maintenance
Professional in approach
Will offer a firm commitment over the summer
Looking to build up commercial sea time
Located in Australia for joining

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 AUD / year (TRP) Negotiable on experience
