A well built 26m Charter / Private MY is on the search for a captain / engineer to commit to a travelling program.
The vessel is currently cruising the Whitsundays with aim to be in Sydney from November to February for the summer.
The vessel will likely travel the top end of Australia in 2026 heading to the remote Kimberley region.
Previous experience in this region would be looked on favourably.
The position is a live on-board role and the captain must be able to offer a firm commitment to a travelling program with few ties ashore.
Previous charter experience would be advantageous
The Ideal Candidate
· Master 4 / MED 2
· AMSA Seafarer medical
· Previous drive time on vessels over 20m
· East Coast and /or Top end experience
· Previous charter experience
· Self-motivated
· Hands on with engineering
· Can work well with the manager and owner
· Can effectively manage casual crew around schedule
· Strong communications skills
· Can offer a firm commitment
