Deckhand in Italy

Summary

Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Temp Deckhand for a 40m sailing yacht 

This position can turn permanent after 3 month rial for the right person

At least 1-2 years’ experience on yachts 

Maintenance experience, including knowledge of painting and products. 

The position requires an experienced deckhand with good seamanship skills who can confidently do the day to day duties on deck, watches in port, a good knowledge of general repairs, polishing and wash downs. 

Sailing experience a plus

Charter experience will also be beneficial

The primary focus during this time will be on maintenance tasks until the charter season next summer

Start Date: October

Duration: 3 months- can turn PERMANENT

Location: Italy

Salary: EUR 3000

Leave: 42 days

Yard period in Italy and Charter next season 2026
