Summary
Burgess Recruitment is currently seeking a Purser for an 80m private new build motor yacht.
We are looking for a professional and detail-oriented Purser to join this exciting new project. The role offers a unique rotation, with six months of the year onboard during guest trips, three months working remotely from home, and three months holiday.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience as Purser on a 60m+ motor yacht
- Strong financial administration and yacht accounting experience
- Skilled in crew payroll, contracts, visas, and travel logistics
- Familiar with ISM/ISPS, MLC, LY3, and Cayman Islands flag compliance
- Proficient in yacht management and accounting software (IDEA, Triton, DeepBlue, Omnis, Excel)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional, discreet, articulate, and polished demeanor
- Up-to-date STCW Basic Safety Training, ENG1 (min. 3 months validity), and Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
Desirable Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Hospitality Management
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting training
- WSET Level 2 or higher
- Purser training and/or previous new build experience
Responsibilities include

- Support for Captain and HODs in daily administration and communication with management
Salary: DOE
Rotation: 6 months onboard / 3 months remote work / 3 months holiday
Travel: Premium Economy flights at end of each rotation
