Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and very hands-on Chief Engineer to join a brand-new 42m private program. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the engine room and work closely with the captains and owners to set the standard for operations from the very beginning. The role is in-house, requiring a proactive, present, and involved engineer who thrives on being fully engaged in the day-to-day technical running of the yacht.
Requirements & Ideal Candidate
- Minimum Y3 CoC (or equivalent)
- Previous experience on vessels 40m+ preferred
- Extremely hands-on approach with strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and AV/IT systems
- Comfortable working in-house (not remote or rotational), ensuring daily oversight and involvement in all technical areas
- Family-oriented, kid-friendly, and adaptable to a private family program
- Carpentry or technical trade skills a plus
- Team player, works well in a mixed-nationality crew
