A unique lifestyle opportunity has become available for an experienced sailor to join a 52’ sail catamaran as captain.
The owner uses the vessel from Port Stephens to the Whitsundays and is open to keeping a permanent berth in Port Stephens, Gold Coast or the Whitsundays
The owner uses the vessel intermittently, sometimes by himself, sometimes with 1-2 guests.
Very relaxed cruising program and the captain should be a low-key personality who is personable and can respect the owners personal space.
The captain can fly in/out being present for deliveries, maintenance and all guest trips (terrific opportunity for a flexible work arrangement)
Wages can be on a day rate or on annual salary (flexible)
Additional casual / delivery crew for when on passage.
The position would suit a skilled sailor looking for a lifestyle role with a terrific and established yacht owner
The Ideal Candidate
· Experienced sailing captain
· Yachtmaster or AMSA equivalent
· East Coast sailing experience
· Basic engineering / troubleshooting skills
· Can work in with the owners schedule
· Is based on the East Coast of Aus
· Personable and mature minded
· Can work well without oversight
· Working rights in Australia
Start: Flexible, before summer
Salary: Day rate or on annual salary in AUD
