Summary
We're looking for a skilled, confident male Sole Chef to join 47m private motor yacht starting around the 25th September, potentially early October. The yacht is an adventure yacht, with a worldwide itinerary - it's a big adventure, always on the move.
The owner loves food, travel, and trying new things. You need to be flexible, creative and have solid experience in being able to deliver elevated Asian, especially Chinese, and modern European dishes and be comfortable utilising unusual ingredients and provisioning in remote places. You need to have good experience on similar-sized vessels and ideally a solid restaurant background. Candidates with a very good background in restaurants and willingness to learn will be considered but you must have your yacht certs.
This is a private boat with up to 12 guests (owner, family, and friends) and a crew of 10. The owner is not on the boat 24/7 but this varies throughout the year. You'll be the only chef onboard – provisioning, budgeting, and team spirit are key. The last chef was excellent and loved by all, and we’re after someone just as strong & adventurous. There is a great element of travel involved, going to remote spots on helicopter and even travelling with the principal on land at times.
