We are delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Service/Housekeeper to support a prestigious London residence. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a highly polished and professional individual with a strong service mindset and an excellent eye for detail. The role requires flexibility, discretion, and the ability to switch seamlessly between hands-on housekeeping and delivering outstanding service depending on whether the principals are in residence.

When the principals are in residence, the successful candidate will be required to work six days per week, starting from midday until dismissed, focusing on front-of-house service. Duties will include welcoming and receiving guests, serving meals and beverages to the highest standards, and assisting with events alongside the private chef. When the principals are away, the role moves to a more structured schedule of Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, where the emphasis will be on light housekeeping, wardrobe management, organisation, and laundry to ensure the residence remains immaculate and ready for their return.

The principals typically spend around five months of the year in London, and the position also requires the successful candidate to travel with them for up to two months per year. This is a busy and dynamic role that will suit a candidate with prior private household or yachting experience, who thrives in high-pressure environments and takes pride in maintaining impeccable standards. Flexibility, adaptability, and a polished, professional manner are all essential.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Providing seamless, discreet service when principals are in residence
  • Welcoming and receiving guests with professionalism and flawless etiquette
  • Serving meals, beverages, and assisting with events as required
  • Working closely with the private chef to ensure smooth mealtimes
  • Light housekeeping and general organisation when principals are away
  • Wardrobe management, packing/unpacking, and care of delicate items
  • Laundry and care of fine linens and service items
  • Hand washing chinaware, glassware, and cutlery; managing inventories
  • Monitoring household supplies and replenishing as needed

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Previous experience in UHNW households or yachting
  • Impeccable service skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Polished presentation, professional etiquette, and discretion at all times
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach with a strong work ethic
  • Organisational skills and the ability to anticipate principals’ needs
  • Ability to travel for up to two months per year
  • Fluent English and the right to work in the UK
  • Excellent checkable references
