TEMP TO PERM HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY HOME IN LONDON

Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Temp to Perm for the right candidate)
Salary: £50,000 per annum, pro rata

A highly experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper is required to join a prestigious private residence in Central London. The role will begin temporarily with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate. The successful candidate will work as part of an established team of four housekeepers, ensuring the home is maintained to the highest possible standards, with a particular strength in laundry and garment care when required.
This is a full-time position working five days per week with two consecutive days off.
Standard hours are 9:00 to 17:00, with flexibility required when necessary. The family is seeking an exceptional addition to their team, so candidates should be able to demonstrate proven longevity in
previous roles.
The ideal candidate will bring exceptional housekeeping skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and discretion when working within a high-profile household. This position is to start immediately so candidates should be available ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily housekeeping to the highest standard, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, polishing, and upkeep of all rooms and surfaces
- Changing bed linen, making beds, and ensuring guest rooms and principal areas are maintained to an immaculate condition
- Managing wardrobes and ensuring clothing and accessories are stored neatly and carefully
- Assisting with household laundry as required, including washing, pressing, and garment care for delicate and high-value items
- Promptly identifying and reporting any damage, maintenance, or repair requirements
- Maintaining household supplies and ensuring storage areas remain clean and well organised
- Supporting the wider team with deep cleaning, seasonal tasks, and preparation for guests or events
- Ensuring discretion and professionalism at all times within the household
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Housekeeper or Laundress in a UHNW/HNW private household
- Strong laundry and fabric care expertise, including delicate and specialist items
- A professional, discreet, and reliable approach
- Positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
- Ability to commute easily to Central London
- Full right to live and work in the UK
- Excellent, checkable references
- Up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
