Summary

Location: Little Venice, London

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, negotiable DOE

Status: Live-out

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and dynamic Housekeeper to support a busy family of five in their beautiful, large family home in Little Venice, London. Spread over five floors, this impressive property requires a housekeeper with excellent attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.

The family employ a full-time cleaner, so the successful candidate will be a team player, working collaboratively to ensure the home is maintained to the highest standards. The household is warm and welcoming, with two dogs and a cat, so the ideal candidate must be pet-friendly and comfortable in a lively family environment with lots of people coming and going daily.

Duties will include hands-on housekeeping, laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, home organisation, packing and unpacking for the family, and liaising with contractors when required. The housekeeper will also work closely with the family PA to support the smooth running of the household. This is a busy and dynamic role, so the ability to think on your feet, take initiative, and adapt quickly to changing needs is essential.

The family are seeking someone professional yet personable and bubbly, who enjoys being part of a team and is looking for a long-term position. Flexibility is key, as this is a busy household where no two days are the same. Candidates with prior private household experience are preferred, though the family are also open to considering former Chief Stewardesses from a yachting background who bring relevant transferable skills. The working schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, with flexibility required when needed.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

·      Laundry, ironing, and care of delicate fabrics

·      Wardrobe management and home organisation

·      Packing and unpacking for the family

·      Liaising with contractors and overseeing household maintenance when required

·      Working closely with the family PA to ensure smooth daily operations

·      Stock and inventory control within the home, and running errands as required

·      Supporting with ad hoc duties as needed in a busy family environment

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

·      Proven private household housekeeping experience (or background as a Chief Stewardess in yachting)

·      Extremely high attention to detail and standards of presentation

·      A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work

·      Strong organisational skills and the ability to take initiative

·      Professional, discreet, and trustworthy with a warm, bubbly personality

·      Team player who can work collaboratively with other staff

·      Pet friendly and comfortable in a home with dogs and a cat

·      Eligibility to work in the UK
