Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Bosun/OOW to join a beautiful, well run, private/ charter 60m+ SY. This is ideal for someone adventurous and has a real love for diving.
We are looking for a fit & healthy candidate with OOW in hand, to join a close group of like-minded seafarers. An exciting opportunity to learn from the captain and officer onboard, getting a share of underway watches and other responsibilities to further their career.
The ideal candidate is organised and efficient, good with juggling a lot of things at the same time, a great communicator with excellent problem-solving skills, detail oriented and loves to provide the highest level of service and exceed guest expectations. This is a hands-on role, predominantly deck, leading a team of 2 deckhands, however able to stand his own nav watch and helping the first officer with planned maintenance, garbage officer and security officer.
Safety conscious is a must, along with a solid work attitude & open mind to learn from others.
Tender driving skills essential. Ideally dingy sailor and or diving qualification would be a bonus. ( Ideally Nitrox experience)
Sailing Yacht experience is needed and absolutely essential is big rig experience.
We are looking for a positive, upbeat and outgoing personality, someone that can have some banter but also knows the right ethic, courtesy and manners. Must be able to form a good relationship with other department heads and work as a team. This is a professional, down-to-earth and level-headed crew, so no egos.
Many of the crew onboard have worked for this owner for a long time so crew retention is high. There is good morale on board and everyone gets stuck in where needed.
This role would best suit a candidate who would like to join a well-established program, with SOP´s set in place. The owners very much enjoy their habits and routines. An adventurous candidate who would like to travel to some amazing destinations off the beaten track. This is not a party boat.
This is a dual season SY traveling to some amazing locations.

Requirements for application: You must be a strong sailor with a min. of 2 years' experience onboard a large sailing yacht. Essential is the big rig experience. Must be capable and confident in leading a navigational watch while under sail. Must be capable and confident in leading working aloft procedures. Great communicator and listener, Good verifiable references. Driving License, Confident and skilled.
