The Candidate Specification
This is a family-run private yacht, offering an excellent opportunity for someone ready to step up into their first Chief Stew position. The ideal candidate will have solid experience as a Second Stew, bringing good energy, a caring nature, and a strong focus on communication - a key attribute in this role.
The yacht has had a quieter itinerary this year, with the main period of travel typically between May and September. During this time, crew are expected to remain onboard, but the Captain is flexible with leave and supports time off in segments outside of the season. This position is well-suited to someone who isn't seeking constant travel but values stability and balance. Going to be based in Barcelona for the winter.
As Chief Stew, you'll be responsible for directing, supporting, and training the interior team. The yacht prides itself on being drama-free, professional, and well-established, with a programme that has been running smoothly for the last nine years. We are looking for someone who can slot into this structure seamlessly - maintaining the standards already in place rather than seeking to change them.
Key responsibilities include managing interior accounts, overseeing glassware, storerooms, and inventories, but not limited to. The programme is easy-going, well-structured, and offers a supportive working environment.
