ous-Chef / Crew-Chef – 50m Charter Yacht (Croatia)
We are seeking an experienced Sous-Chef / Crew-Chef to join the galley team on board a 50-meter luxury charter yacht cruising the Adriatic. The role is dual-focused: supporting the Head Chef in delivering world-class cuisine for guests while independently managing high-quality, nutritious meals for crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in the preparation, plating, and service of guest meals (fine dining, plated dinners, buffets, family-style lunches, themed nights, etc.)
- Plan and execute daily crew menus (breakfast, lunch, dinner) with balance, variety, and consistency
- Ensure crew meals are nutritious, well-presented, and cater to dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.)
- Manage provisioning in cooperation with the Head Chef, including stock rotation, inventory, and local sourcing of fresh produce in Croatian ports
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and galley organization (in line with HACCP and MLC standards)
- Flexibly adapt to charter itineraries, last-minute guest requests, and changing schedules
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain smooth galley operations, including prep, cleaning, and waste management
Requirements:
- Previous experience as Sous-Chef, Crew-Chef, or Sole Chef on luxury yachts or in high-end hospitality (5* hotels, fine dining, private estates)
- Strong knowledge of Mediterranean and international cuisines
- Ability to independently manage crew catering (15–20 crew) while assisting with guest service
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills under pressure
- STCW and ENG1 valid
- EU passport or Schengen visa preferred (due to cruising area in Croatia)
