Summary

Position: Chief Engineer - Y3 - USCG equivalent - full time (mostly M-F going home at night - or can stay onboard)

Yacht: 54m - Motor- Private - foreign flag but eventually changing to US  

Location: US West Coast 

Start date: September 

Itinerary: Local Southern California area. not much traveling. 

License: Y3 or USCG equivalent 

Requirements:

US passport or Green card ideally since they are changing to US flag

STCW + Refresher as needed

medical fit for duty/ ENG 1 (min. 6 months validity)

Either 2nd from larger vessels looking to move into a chief engineer role and/or someone strong in mechanical engineering  

Good references 

Candidates local to San Diego would be ideal but not mandatory.

LOOKING FOR LONG TERM COMMITMENT.  

Job specifics: They need to be competent in the ER. Looking for someone that keeps the systems well maintained. Good with keeping records and notes. Candidate should be well qualified with experience in Italian boats a plus. Mature, self-starter.

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience.
