Summary

Position:  CO-CAPTAIN/PROJECT MANAGEMENT - US FLAG

MUST BE US Passport holder, green card, work permit. Legal to work in the US.

A captain that will run this smaller yacht program with another captain /manage warranty work, yard work, parts, will also arrange for crew as needed, budgets, provisions, etc. Working closely with the Co-Captain and owner's support team. This small fleet of yachts must always be ready to use.

Ideally with experience around 35m +, previous warranty work, working with manufacturers with getting parts, etc. You must be extremely detailed, organized. Your main focus will be project management and secondary captain.

Home base: WPB area.

Yacht: 21m / 70' and a 37' - Motor Private - under warranty. Additional 80 - 110' coming soon

Location: Preference for candidates within reach of Palm Beach, FL (relocation considered for the right candidate)

Start date: SOON

Itinerary: Heavy global travel (multi-week trips). Schedule follows a “rotational” cadence but this is a full-time salaried role – not a day-rate rotation.

License Required: USCG or YM200gt + (good knowledge of engineering) 5+ years as Captain/Engineer ideally

Requirements:

NO INCIDENT Report

Strong knowledge of Bahamas

Strong knowledge of warranty / yard work

STCW + Refresher

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months+)

US Passport valid minimum 1 year


High standards are expected

Highly organized, detailed, project management experience.

Active, sporty, interested in water sports of all kinds


Duties:  Will include but not limited to.

Project management, warranty/yard work, operations, maintenance, washing, waxing, oil changes, etc. and oversight of all aspects of the boat. Hire additional crew depending on owner and program needs. Highly responsible, good communicator. Trip planning, provisioning, etc.

This client has chartered many yachts so he is looking for a quality team to provide a good level of service. He enjoys knowing all of the systems onboard. He takes an active interest. He prefers privacy so the captain will expect crew to be off the boat more than usual. While traveling you will be accommodated at nearby hotels, etc. In Palm Beach he prefers someone that lives nearby and can travel home nightly. Someone who can "go with the flow" and can change plans quickly without getting frustrated. The boat will be used by the owner, family and friends. They enjoy water sports, good food and casual drinking. The owner is an early riser. He would prefer early long trips involving travel to remote and/or distant areas as weather permits.

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience. USD

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
