Summary

Position: SENIOR FLEET MATE - US FLAG 

MUST BE US Passport holder, green card, work permit. Legal to work in the US.

Yacht: 21m / 70' and a 37' - Motor Private - under warranty

Additional 80 - 110' coming soon

Location: Palm Beach, FL 

Start date: SOON

Itinerary: S. Florida, US East Coast, Bahamas, etc. 

License Required: USCG or YM200gt (good knowledge of engineering)


Requirements:

NO INCIDENT Report

5+ years experience on motor yachts as a mate and engineer

Strong knowledge of Exterior maintenance and ER

Strong knowledge of warranty / yard work

STCW + Refresher

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months+)

US Passport valid minimum 1 year


High standards are expected 

Highly organized, detailed, project management experience.

Highly responsible, good communicator. 

Active, sporty, interested in water sports of all kinds


A Mate will report to the Captain. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:


Mate/Engineer

Exterior Yacht maintenance - washing, waxing, oil changes, etc.

Engineering duties

Help to arrange and manage warranty work and yard work

Inventory/order parts/stocking

Provisioning for owner trips

Assist with managing and hiring day workers as needed for interior and exterior support 


You will be part of deliveries to and from the Bahamas and other areas of travel along the US East Coast, etc.

Working closely with the Captains and owner's support team. This small fleet of yachts must always be ready to use.

This is ideal for a candidate that lives in the West Palm Beach area. You can go home at night. You will be required to work on the boats on a daily schedule as well as be on call for travel.


This client has chartered many yachts so he is looking for a quality team to provide a good level of service. He enjoys knowing all of the systems onboard. He takes an active interest. In Palm Beach he prefers someone that lives nearby and can travel home nightly. Someone who can "go with the flow" and can change plans quickly without getting frustrated. The boat will be used by the owner, family and friends. They enjoy water sports, good food and casual drinking. 


Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience. USD

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
