Summary

Position: SENIOR FLEET MATE - US FLAG  

MUST BE US Passport holder, green card, work permit. Legal to work in the US.  

Yacht: 21m / 70' and a 37' - Motor Private - under warranty  

Additional 80 - 110' coming soon

Location: Preference for candidates within reach of Palm Beach, FL (relocation considered for the right candidate)  

Start date: SOON  

Itinerary: Heavy global travel (multi-week trips). Schedule follows a “rotational” cadence but this is a full-time salaried role — not a day-rate rotation.  

License Required: USCG or YM200gt (good knowledge of engineering)  

Requirements:  

• NO INCIDENT Report

• 5+ years experience on motor yachts as a mate and engineer

• Strong knowledge of Exterior maintenance and ER

• Strong knowledge of warranty / yard work

• STCW + Refresher

• ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months+)

• US Passport valid minimum 1 year

  

High standards are expected Highly organized, detailed, project management experience. Highly responsible, good communicator. Active, sporty, interested in water sports of all kinds  

Reports to: Captain.  

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:  

• Exterior Yacht maintenance - washing, waxing, oil changes, etc.

• Engineering duties

• Help to arrange and manage warranty work and yard work

• Inventory/order parts/stocking

• Provisioning for owner trips

• Assist with managing and hiring day workers as needed for interior and exterior support

  

Team dynamic: Work closely with the Captain and owner’s support team to ensure the fleet is always ready to use.  

Location note: Preference for candidates within reach of Palm Beach to remain actively involved during warranty, yard, and project periods between trips. This is a live-off role.  

Travel profile: Significant global travel. 2025/26 expected to include US East Coast and extended European cruising. Owner prefers to dock nightly — crew accommodated ashore in hotel accommodation.  

Owner profile: Experienced yacht charterer seeking a high-quality, service-oriented crew. Takes an active interest in vessel systems.  

Fit: Flexible and adaptable; can change plans quickly without frustration. Works well with owner, family, and friends in an active, informal environment.  

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience. USD  

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
