Deckhand/Engineer – Private 30m S/Y
Join a stunning, high-performance private 30m carbon sloop sailing yacht as an Deck/Engineer, team of 4 . This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on sailor with basic engineering knowledge and a team-focused mindset. You will work across departments in a highly collaborative and supportive crew environment.
Start date: 5 August 2025
Itinerary: Italian Islands and the Italian Riviera
Package: Salary (DOE), 1-month contract with the possibility to become permanent.
Experience/Skills required:
• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar dual role on sailing yachts
• Sound understanding of basic engineering and technical troubleshooting
• Strong sailing background and able to assist on deck when needed
• Proactive, clean and highly organised
• Able to follow instructions and communicate clearly with the team
• Comfortable rotating into interior tasks and supporting the stewardess team
• Team player with a can-do, hands-on attitude
Qualifications required:
• STCW (fully updated)
• Seafarer's Medical Certificate
• AEC1 or similar engineering certification preferred
• Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)
