The Candidate Specification
We are looking for a skilled Deck/Carpenter to join a private 80M+ yacht. This is a busy, hands-on role for a candidate with solid carpentry and joinery experience. The position offers excellent longevity and crew culture, with the owner onboard for roughly six months of the year.
This is a dual role where the candidate will be expected to contribute both as a deckhand and as the vessel’s dedicated carpenter. Key responsibilities include practical woodwork such as making shelves and general joinery repairs, minimal painting work, assisting with deck operations and watersports during busy periods. Supporting the Chief Stewardess with interior maintenance projects during the winter
We’re open to land-based professionals such as shipwrights or qualified carpenters looking to transition into yachting, provided they have the right attitude and willingness to learn yacht operations.
- Required experience: Carpentry or shipwright experience (yachting experience preferred but not essential)
