Summary
Reiya Group is seeking a talented and seasoned Sole Chef for a busy 40m+ charter yacht based in the Mediterranean for the summer season. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to take charge of a dynamic galley, delivering exceptional cuisine for both guests and crew in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
The Role: As Sole Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of galley operations, including provisioning, menu planning, and execution of high-quality meals for both charter guests and crew. This is a hands-on role requiring creativity, efficiency, and the ability to adapt quickly to guest preferences and changing schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver varied, high-level menus tailored to charter guests’ preferences and dietary requirements
- Prepare healthy, balanced meals for a crew of 8–10, maintaining consistency and quality
- Manage galley provisioning, budgeting, and stock control across multiple Mediterranean locations
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in line with HACCP protocols
- Work closely with the Captain and Chief Stew to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
- Adapt menus and service for fast turnaround between charters and busy itineraries
- Operate efficiently under pressure in a solo capacity while upholding presentation and quality
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sole or Head Chef on yachts 40m+
- Ability to confidently manage a solo galley operation for both guest and crew dining
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
- Valid STCW, Food & Hygiene Level 2 or 3, and ENG1
- Schengen visa in hand if applicable
- Immediate availability
