Summary
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Chief Engineer / temporary contract. This role requires an experienced ch. engineer with strong technical expertise, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and onboard system management.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all engineering operations on board, ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of all technical systems.
- Implement and manage a planned maintenance system (PMS) for main engines, generators, hydraulics, HVAC, electrical, and other onboard systems.
- Lead troubleshooting and repair of technical issues across all machinery and systems.
- Supervise any engine overhauls or repairs, coordinating with external contractors when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate technical records, inventories, and reports.
- Work closely with the Captain and management to support smooth vessel operations.
Minimum Requirements
- License: STCW III/2 – Chief Engineer Officer (Unlimited Power)
- Certs: Valid seafarer medical certificate
- Experience:
- Proficient in troubleshooting and maintenance of diesel engines, MTU experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of onboard systems including fuel, water, electrical, air conditioning, sanitation, and hydraulics
- Advanced understanding of propulsion systems
- Experience with technical planning and spare parts management
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Contract Details
- Salary: EUR 7,000 per month
- +Food Allowances
- Accommodation: Shore-based housing provided; Doha Qatar.
