CHIEF STEW 55M
We are currently seeking an organised and experienced Chief Stew to join a busy, dual-season 55m private motor yacht that lightly charters. The yacht is under American ownership, currently located in Europe, and will complete a Mediterranean summer before crossing to the Caribbean for the winter. With the potential to go rotational, this is an exciting opportunity!
Details:
- This role has an asap start date on it so you must be readily available to join. That said, the role can be looked at either as a temp, seasonal or permanent position - their current main focus is the upcoming trips which will run through July and August so we are interested to hear from candidates seeking different employment options.
- Currently in Europe; Med summer followed by Caribbean winter
- Long-standing Captain and senior crew, including an established 2nd Stew who is a wonderful support. There is some great longevity onboard!
- Vessel is maintained to a high standard.
- 13 crew, interior team of 4
The Ideal Candidate:
- You must have your own proven longevity in the yachting industry with at least 2 years experience as a Chief Stew on 45m+
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Charter experience would be advantageous.
- The vessel is family orientated so you will ideally have experience working with children as well as a warm, approachable demeanor.
Package:
- Leave: For the right candidate, the role could go rotational after the season. That said, it will depend on how things go as well as the relationship built with the owner.
- Salary: DOE but paid in USD.
- Start Date: Due to the vessel's itinerary, they are ideally looking for someone to step onboard by next week (the 25th).
