Chief Officer/1st Mate in United States

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 1st Mate to join a 50m private yacht cruising the East Coast of the USA and Canada.

The successful candidate will assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, oversee the deck team, ensure all deck operations are carried out smoothly, and support navigation and watchkeeping duties.

Applicants must hold a valid B1/B2 visa and have prior experience on similar-sized yachts. A Yachtmaster qualification is essential, and holding an OOW would be highly desirable.

This is a short-term relief position with an immediate start. Contract 4-6 weeks

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RYA Yachtmaster Ocean
