Burgess Recruitment is currently seeking a Temp Chief Engineer for a 50m+ yacht
We’re seeking a Temp Chief Engineer to oversee the mechanical and technical aspects of an extensive refit.
The position will involve close coordination with the captain, shipyard teams, contractors and the vessels management company to ensure a timely and high-quality execution of all works
Requirements
- C/E (MN)III/3 or III/3 (Y3)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer on similar sized vessels
- All required certifications up to date and in hand
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Hands on and proactive
- Refit experience
- B1/B2 Visa
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
- Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols
Start date: 9 June
Duration: 2-2.5 months-will end on arrival in Holland
Location: USA-Europe
Salary: USD 450 per day
Expected to live on board for this time, will not share a cabin.
Vessel Program and itinerary- Private vessel- currently in the USA undergoing refit.
Will be taken to a Dutch shipyard for the last stage of the refit
