Sole Engineer – 40m Charter M/Y
We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join a 40m motor yacht that has recently transitioned to commercial registration after a successful technical refit. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who is confident working both independently and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have previous shipyard experience and a solid understanding of older engine rooms. While the yacht has been well maintained and recently refitted, familiarity with classic engineering systems is essential. You will be supported by a deck/engineer but must also be comfortable operating as a sole engineer when required. Occasionally, you will be asked to assist on deck during maneuvers.
Candidates must hold a Chief Engineer – STCW III/2 or III/3 (up to 3,000 kW). Alternatives may be considered, including MCA SV, Y3, or Y4 engineers with engine-specific training.
The successful candidate will be well presented, fluent in English, and possess excellent communication skills.
