Burgess Recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50m+ yacht
We’re seeking a Chief Engineer for a full time live aboard position, overseeing the mechanical and technical aspects of an extensive refit.
The position will involve close coordination with the captain, shipyard teams, contractors and the vessels management company to ensure a timely and high-quality execution of all works
Requirements
- C/E (MN)III/3 or III/3 (Y3)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as Chief Engineer on similar sized vessels
- All required certifications up to date and in hand
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Hands on and proactive
- Refit experience
- B1/B2 Visa
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
- Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
- Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols

Location: USA
Salary: USD 12,500
Leave: 38 days
