Seeking a Mate / Sole Deckhand for the following
88ft US-Flagged Private M/Y – Bahamas & U.S. East Coast
This professionally managed 88ft motor yacht is seeking a motivated Mate or Sole Deckhand to join their team full-time. The vessel cruises between the Bahamas and the East Coast throughout the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a well-run program. The ideal candidate will already hold, or be working toward, their 100 Ton USCG. After one full year onboard, the vessel offers paid training toward licensing and professional development.
Start date: Flexible based on candidate availability
Pay: Competitive and dependent on experience
Responsibilities
- Handle all deck operations including docking, anchoring, washdowns, line handling, and tender (28ft) operations
- Maintain all exterior areas and assist with light engineering tasks as needed
- Assist with navigation, watchkeeping, and bridge support under the Captain’s guidance
- Support with guest activities including watersports and excursions
- Help ensure all safety equipment is maintained and ready for use
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment onboard
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
- Strong deck skills with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Positive references from previous positions required
