Seeking a Chef for the following:
Classic 100ft Charter US FLAGGED M/Y based in Maine for the Summer Season
This beautifully refit, historic motor yacht provides a refined and traditional yachting experience. The program is elegant yet relaxed, appealing to guests who appreciate classic maritime charm. We are seeking a Chef to join the program with flexible options available: full-season employment, charter-only assignments, or a retainer arrangement depending on availability and interest.
The yacht charters out of Maine during the summer months and operates with a professional, close-knit crew with an excellent Captain.
Start date ideally by June 1st or sooner. Pay is dependent on experience and employment arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Provision and prepare high-quality meals for guests during charters, tailored to preferences and dietary needs
- Plan and execute menus with variety and creativity for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
- Maintain a clean and organized galley that meets safety and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with the Stewardess and Captain to ensure smooth service and timing
- Provision efficiently, managing budgets and reducing waste
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling and availability to join for charters or seasonally if mutually agreed
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Previous yacht charter experience is required
- Ability to work independently in a small galley and deliver high-end, guest-focused cuisine
- Strong organizational and provisioning skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to integrate into a small crew environment
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Previous references required
