Description

Human Resources in yachting is in need of an upgrade. Our GUEST-accredited Human Resources & Crew Wellbeing Course, designed for superyacht crew management, to implement robust HR practices which prioritise success and crew wellbeing.

In this course, you'll learn about Maritime Conventions, Health & Safety, Security Policies, and the importance of following Yacht Standing Orders and an Ethical Code of Conduct. We'll cover crew contracts in line with Maritime Labour Convention standards, and the process for ensuring crew qualifications and certifications.

The course includes practical guidance on creating job descriptions, effective interviewing techniques for hiring, and induction processes for new crew members. You'll also learn about fostering positive employee relationships, performance management, and identifying training opportunities.

A key focus will be on crew well-being, teaching you how to support their mental, emotional, and physical health, which is crucial for both the crew's welfare and the yacht’s smooth operation.

By the end, you will be equipped to manage your crew with an emphasis on professionalism, compliance, safety, and support, promoting a well-run and contented work environment.
