Advanced Leadership Course Overview:

The Crew Academy's IAMI GUEST accredited Advanced Leadership Program is for existing and aspiring managers in yachting. It provides the skills and knowledge to inspire their teams to maximise performance and gain greater clarity of their own leadership journey.

This course helps team leaders working in any department on a yacht to build better teams and accelerate your career. It provides practical tools and techniques grounded in effective management and leadership, communication, motivation, and team development, while also addressing conflict resolution and personal effectiveness.This 3-day program is delivered 100% online via kelp. in collaboration with a mix of interactive masterclasses and self-study. 

Course Format:

• Blended learning delivered online via kelp.
• 18 hours of live teaching, either morning or evening sessions.
• Morning sessions - Monday to Wednesday, 8am to 2pm UK time
• Evening sessions - Monday to Wednesday, 5pm to 8pm UK time
• 4 hours of guided self-study.
• Online assessment to complete.

Meet your trainer:

Chanine Mierop, our Leadership trainer here at The Crew Academy, brings an abundance of experience to her with a Bachelor and Master’s degree in ‘Cross Cultural Management’and a former career in Recruitment & Human Resources where she led multi-functional teams for around seven years.Chanine then transferred the skills she learned after working in the corporate and high-end hospitality fields, to the yachting industry where she successfully managed and trained various teams in the role of HoD and Purser for nine years. Her passion is to build the best team with an emphasis on communication and personal development.

Accreditation

Upon completion of the program, learners will be awarded the following certificates:

• IAMI GUEST Unit 17 - Foundational Leadership.
• IAMI GUEST Unit 22 - Advanced Leadership.

Platform access

Students booking onto the Advanced Leadership program with The Crew Academy will gain immediate access to the full course content and library of resources. Students must complete all self-study and live training within the 12 month period of booking.

• 6 Core modules broken down into bitesize interactive study units and assessments.
• 6 x 3 hour live workshops delivered over 2 weeks led by our Leadership Experts.
• 2-hours of online self-study per week in our state-of-the-art Virtual Learning Environment.
• Course content aligned to the GUEST Unit 17 and Unit 22 Learning Outcomes.
