Summary
Classic Motor Yacht / Private Program / Crew of 7 / NO ROTATION
We are looking for a First Mate to join our well-established private program onboard a beautifully maintained 1938 classic motor yacht cruising the Mediterranean and supporting the classic sailing regatta circuit.
This is a hands-on role within a small, professional crew of seven, so we are looking for someone who enjoys leading by example and takes pride in maintaining a classic vessel to a high standard.
The yacht has been with the family for many years and is part of a wider program working alongside their villas and sailing yacht, so teamwork and a collaborative approach are important.
The Role
You will work closely with the Captain and oversee the deck operations with one deckhand under your lead, maintaining high standards across seamanship, safety and deck presentation.
We are looking for someone practical, organised and proactive who enjoys running a tidy deck and contributing to a positive crew environment.
Requirements
Yachtmaster Offshore + ECDIS required
(Please only apply if you hold both certificates.)
• Strong seamanship and tender operations
• Very confident driving an 8m RIB (single engine outboard)
• Hands-on leadership and good crew management
• High deck standards – paint, varnish and classic yacht maintenance
• Strong safety awareness and good operational judgement
