Summary
We are seeking a motivated and professional Deckhand to join a busy Motor Yacht with a dynamic cruising schedule. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to maintain high standards of exterior presentation while working as part of a close-knit crew team. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience on a well-run vessel with an active program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of deck operations and daily exterior maintenance
- Washdowns, chamoising, polishing stainless and brightwork
- Teak cleaning and general upkeep of deck areas
- Assist with docking, anchoring, and line handling
- Operation and maintenance of tenders and water toys
- Assist with guest activities and water sports when required
- Participate in safety drills and maintain safety equipment
- Support bridge watches when required
- Ensure exterior areas are maintained to superyacht standards
Candidate Requirements
- Valid STCW Basic Safety Training
- Valid ENG1 Medical Certificate
- Powerboat Level 2
- Yacht Rating (optional)
- Previous yachting experience preferred but strong entry-level candidates considered
- Good knowledge of deck maintenance and cleaning products
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Team player with excellent communication skills
