Captain – 49m Motor Yacht (Seasonal | Mediterranean)
We are seeking an experienced Captain to join a 49m motor yacht operating seasonally in the Mediterranean. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel while maintaining high standards of safety, crew management, and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall command and safe operation of the vessel
- Navigation and passage planning throughout the Mediterranean
- Planning and execution of cruising itineraries
- Ensuring compliance with flag state and maritime regulations
- Implementation and management of onboard safety procedures and drills
- Leadership and management of a small professional crew
- Maintaining high operational and safety standards onboard
- Overseeing maintenance, servicing, and vessel readiness
- Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests
Requirements
- Master 3000 (preferred)
- Previous experience as Captain on a motor yacht of similar size
- Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cruising grounds
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Solid understanding of vessel safety, navigation, and compliance
- Proactive, solution-focused approach to vessel operations
