Requirements: Valid STCW, ENG1, PDSD, Yachtmaster offshore
The lead deckhand assists the Bosun with deck duties such as maneuvering, mooring and anchoring. He is responsible for driving the tenders and for organizing watersports for guests on board. He is also in charge of the cleanliness of the yacht-wash downs, stainless polishing, waxing and assists the Bosun and deck officers with maintenance projects such as taping up for varnishing or painting, filing and caulking.
Knowledge of all equipment and maintenance products on board. Keen eye for detail. Excellent tender driving skills. Good planning and organization skills. Hard work ethic. Excellent maintenance knowledge & skills and maintenance product knowledge. Basic engineering knowledge. Good safety knowledge and skills.
